You would think it would be simple, meeting at the airport. Nope, not a bit of it. Liz managed to visit all three terminals at airport before finding the right one, but we eventually met up, and thank heavens we had a spare hour or three before departure! Having calmed her down, we headed off to the nearest eatery for breakfast and the first of a series of large glasses of wine. All before 9 a.m.
All was quiet, we were happily chatting, but something was arresting Liz’s attention over my left shoulder … She was eyeing up a group of rugby-type lads on a group trip, one of whom had decided, for reasons best known unto him, to put on a beach dress in the restaurant. He had a fair build, obviously worked out a bit, and the dress was showing off his pecs and furry chest quite well. The dress was short, strappy too, but his boxers were on display at hem level, and suddenly Liz let out a cry of advice to the young Adonis .. ‘Oi’, came the call from the doyenne of style, ‘Tits or legs, but never both!’ Oh dear, this was going to be another fun trip!
We are all in bits here. Diane, Kalinda, Alisha, Jimmy – how can you do this to me Liz.
You hid it well Liz.
Anyway onto more important things. Hope the flight went well. Have a brill time in Washington. Oh by the way Liz, crossword was far too easy today. You would have done it in 10 mins. Have a fab time. Love to you both xxxxxx
