Here we are, sitting in San Diego airport having arrived here very early for check-in, and having spent the morning at the hotel del Coronado.
What an amazingly beautiful place. It’s made entirely of wood, and has a distinctive red roof, and is set on the most beautiful sandy bay.
Pelicans were diving for fish, but neither of us managed to capture the event!
The lobby is still the same as when they filmed Some Like It Hot.
We spoiled ourselves with the seafood we had promised ourselves since we arrived, and it was lovely.
Altogether, a wonderful trip, it will be a long and tedious flight home, but we are getting a couple of wines inside us before the off.

Am catching up with your adventures well after the event. It looks like a great trip and having an interesting last day, rather than an anti-climactic one, has to be good. The seafood looks amazing. Hope to see you soon and hear all about everything.
