This is not going to be an interesting post at all. When we woke this morning, neither of us felt particularly lively. We both slept badly and decided on a very quiet day.
We took a drive up to Twin Lakes and Lady Mary Lake but none of them was as spectacular as the lakes we had passed yesterday, so we came back to the hotel, had lunch and decided to be on holiday this afternoon. We went in the pool, and had a sit in the volcanic spa at the hotel.
That’s Liz in the spa, which was really hot, like a good hot bath, and my fat foot! The hotel and resort seem deserted, which is a shame, and as we didn’t want to walk anywhere today, after such a strenuous day yesterday, we have just crashed at the hotel. This is the view of Mammoth Mountain from our room.
Tomorrow, we will set off early for Death Valley.
